Kinto by Toyota x Alumina x MadeWithUs
Working with the super team at Alumina we created, animated, and edited several short films for Toyota’s Kinto service. Here are the main film and a product film ‘Kinto One’ incorporating 2D character illustration, animation, kinetic type, stock footage, and animated scenes to explain the service.
From style frames and storyboards to animation and editing, we created stylistic animated scenes that helped tell the story with simple characters and minimal scenery. This design shows diversity by having rainbow colours for skin tones and clothes in a simplistic and popular style. The background and foreground assets complement the Kinto brand colours. Minimal animation was used to bring to life the characters in the scenes as they interact with objects and tech.
Kinto’s origins lie in the word Kinto-un – Japanese for ‘flying nimbus’ – a service that quickly appears and, no matter where you are or what time it is, takes you wherever you wish to go. Kinto offers a seamless experience of different modes of transport and payments, from car-sharing to flexible car subscriptions, for all needs and all abilities in one inclusive solution.
